JAZZ WORKSHOPS

Jazz Theory/Improvisation:

Shane discusses jazz in a master class format.  Topics include analysis, listening, communication, and the use of the basic jazz vocabulary.

Rhythm Section:

Rhythm sections learn how to play as a cohesive unit, enhance soloists, and shape charts more effectively.

Saxophone Masterclasses:

Shane discusses practice routines, technique, style, and solutions to problem areas of the saxophone.

Jazz Ensemble/Big Band:

This class will feature analysis and discussion of articulation, dynamic contrast, style, and effective listening.

Teacher Training Sessions:

Designed for music educators at all levels.  Shane discusses basic fundamentals and skills of jazz that will help inspire interest and creativity.
